Kw’íyeqel Secondary School offers financial awards to students who meet certain criteria. There are three types of awards: internal, external, and district authority. Internal awards are chosen by a committee of teachers, counselors, and administrators at the school. External awards are chosen by the people or organizations that sponsor them. District authority awards are given by the BC Ministry of Education to students who excel in their chosen area of interest or strength. To be eligible for these awards, students must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, live in B.C., and meet the selection criteria for each scholarship. Students are encouraged to seek guidance from their career advisor and regularly check the website for the latest information.

Important!

It is crucial for applicants to understand the financial award process. Students should seek guidance and support from their career advisor, attend workshops, and ask questions. Career Advisors can provide valuable insight and assistance throughout the application journey. This proactive approach can significantly improve an applicant's chances of success in securing financial awards.

Applicants should make it a habit to regularly check the website for the most current and accurate information related to the awards program. Staying updated with the latest information and confirming details is a key part of the process, as circumstances and requirements may change over time.
